How long does it take to clean your home?

I don't have too much of a set schedule, but I do like to have some things done in a certain timeframe. For the most part, I clean daily so I don't have to do it all at once. Today I've spent 4 hours cleaning things on all 3 levels. I forgot to vacuum the family room though Ooops.

Takes me about five hours, that’s getting the laundry going in between everything else.
Yes I do the share or work, I should gen an outfit 😂.

I don't own a home and live with my parents and my brother does most of the cleaning, so I guess not long considering all I mostly have to worry about is my own room.

Because it's mixed in with caring for my mother, it's an all day thing 🙂

none stop, as soon as you vacuum the room the next day you got to redo it again. An so we clean every single day for none stop and also work into the night

I tend to spend time each day cleaning and such and doing little bits around the home in between working and I have one set day, usually a Sunday where I will do a more thorough clean of the house. Due to me doing little bits throughout the week though it usually takes me about 2 - 3 hours to do a thorough clean of the house once a week.

I have kids, so it takes approximately 48 hours per day to clean my house.

That sounds about right :joycat: I have kids myself and sometimes it can feel like a never-ending circle having to clean all the time.

I did see something on TikTok the other day that I thought was a good idea. It was to set a timer for an hour and spend an hour in one room in your house and just clean that room. They said you will be surprised at how much you get done in that hour.

Haven't tried it yet myself but I want to 🙂 That sounds like a good idea.

I might try that myself. It's so hard to motivate myself to clean for long periods of time at the end of the day, though!

I know that feeling only too well, especially when you have so much more to do away from cleaning it can be quite difficult to clean for long periods. I haven't tried that method yet myself but it does seem like a good idea to space out the hours between the day or through days to get more done. Like one hour per day per room or even two rooms an hour, each spread out through the day.

Yes, sometimes I feel like I can barely keep up with picking up toys and doing dishes let alone anything more.
