How many AdSense ads do you use?

I basically just have one ad and it's in my global sidebar. I don't want to be too intrusive with them. I know they can be a turnoff.

What about you guys? How many ads do you run on your site? How many on a single page?

All ads are linked to one account. But I have about 4. And they are all global on different parts of the site. Footer, Heading, Side panel, then also smaller ads for small locations.

I say that you don't need more then 5 max ads anyway

1 or 2 and placed as prominently but least intrusively as possible.

Same here. I have one running and it's in my sidebar. I was thinking of putting it inline with the content but I felt that was too much.

Back when I had it on employment sites, I only used one - as to not annoy people.

I run a handful of websites and blogs. The number of ad units on these blogs and website differ. ON some website and blogs I am not using any ads on the home page, I use three adsense units inside the posts. On some sites, I am using 5 ad units, one on the header, one on the sidebar and three in the feed or posts.
