The first impression of when it comes to browsing a forum is of how many forum sections it has as you're on its board index, especially for mobile users that don't wish to keep scrolling down to view the whole thing but, it's not really a problem for everyone though but it would be beneficial to have not too many.

On mine, I have 22 in front of me and anyone that's on it and I had considered streamlining it down a bit, mostly by making the main forum sections into subforums (for example, Windows, macOS and Linux under the main "Software" section, and so on). I know of forums that have like treble the amount and surely that can give mobile users a hard time.

So, should here me a maximum of how many should you have on your forum? Discuss.

22 boards, that's more then what I have. 22 is far amount allot  Yet again depends on the site/forum. For new site's that just been open it's an good idea to start with less and small, and over time you can build up the site with more boards and whatnot. Over the years I had more boards then I should and I have removed some into sub-boards. I taken like 6 away and added them into one board to have it more clean.

All I don't have is new content and active members.
