How many friends?

The thing I have learned is never become to friendly with someone who is trying to become staff. I get a lot of requests from people wanting to be staff and they are very nice and polite and when I deny them they flip out and get pretty upset.
However, I have met many. I was an uploader on a big warez site (it's shutdown, but for you who know it it was WauShare)... Anyways, I met many people and became really good ao-friends (online friends) with them.
Unfortunately, when the site shutdown a lot of us went seperate ways.
ps if anyone knew waushare, I was Dent on the site.

That's a nice thing about being an administrator is that you get to be friends with quite a few people... both from on your staff team and from the member base. I've got one really good online friend who helped me out when I had Marie 1988. He was there every step of the way as far as helping me install mods and things like that. Also very respectful as to whatever I wished to do with the board! Like one time, we had this really bad ordeal with a spammer, and he wanted to close the board to keep him out. I was against that idea at all costs because closing the board would mean that we were just too scared to face this certain spammer. When I brought that point up in the Staff Lounge of our board, I had a fellow staff member agree with me about not closing the board just because of one spammer. So I made quite a few online friends from owning a forum. Both that and being a member of forums as well. It's really proved beneficial.
The other admin on my site and I are really, really good online friends.
The funny thing is I made a topic advertising my site and he said "Cool site I'll check it out." An hour later he wanted to converge our boards. About a week later after I kept thinking about it we decided to and we're like best friends now.

Yeah people change. That's the thing. A lot of the people I hang out don't share personal information. We don't take last names, some don't even give out first names.
So it's hard to get close to them. I do have the cell phone numbers of two friends of mine, but we haven't talked in a while because I left the whole warez scene.
