English is our second language and Spanish was supposed to be our third tongue. Unfortunately, Spanish was removed from the college curriculum so there are now few Spanish speakers here. But with English, rest assured that even children can understand you. By the way, Filipino is getting common in some Asian countries due to the big number of Filipinos there like in Hongkong and Singapore.
PS. There are hundreds of dialects in our country aside from Tagalog which is our national language that we now call Filipino.
I can only speak English. As a Canadian you might think that's weird because can't all Canadians speak French? I use to be able to speak French as they taught us how to in elementary school but ever since then I have not taken French and I lost being able speak French. I also live on the west side of Canada where we normally don't speak French much.
