How many members does your forum have?

66 members on WeTheGamers
yet you have way to many posts for that amount of members
If most were active I reckon we would have a lot more activity than we already enjoy. Out of those 66 members only between 15-23 or so sign in each and every day, and of those not all of them post on a daily basis. Over the last month and a half or so we've averaged 323 posts per day, and over the last two and a half or so months it's been just over 300 ppd.

All it takes is a small group, and if they enjoy writing and reading, exchanging thoughts, ideas, etc,... the posts add up fast.

@Empire: It also depends on the type of content. If a forum has a games section/ chatty section, people will post a lot more. In this case, it's perfectly normal to generate 300-500 posts daily if you have 2 dozen active members. The downside to that is that your other sections may suffer. However, if it keeps your members entertained and interested, especially a small site, it's no harm at all.

It also depends on your particular userbase. Our forum doesn't allow this because of past experience with fun and games areas lol. That's why we have a lot less posts daily, but we're still active. We have a private fun and games section for donators/founders, but no one posts in it much. XD.

We have exactly 300 members atm - I'd say that we might have 60-70 people who actually log in weekly, then there are others who are occassional posters. Our community (not the forum) is very old, so we have some who don't post much at all, but like to stay in contact with the community by showing up every once in a while.

My own forum: just me and a couple of test accounts, because that's my testing environment for self written forum software.
One forum I have to temporarily manage since the owner is on a hiatus has like 653 members, only a very few of which are active, and a bunch are only there to host their Mario Kart mods (which are mostly those that don't quite speak English any way).
