So as the Title(Like always) says. How many of you really focus on your Privacy on the Internet? Do you not really care and let Companies and Websites take and use your Data or do you go to the point where you're actually trying to hide your Identity and try to stay Anonymous?

For me, I never used to be so focused on my Privacy nor' did I know much about what Companies like Google and Microsoft were doing with my Data. Once I learned, I've actually began cutting-out Google Services out of my Life and have limited the amount of Data, Microsoft collects about me. I'd say I'm at the point where I'm trying to keep myself hidden online and try to keep a low-profile.

As for Google Services that I've cut-out, they are:
  • Google Search/Images
  • Google Chrome
  • Blogger
  • Google Earth(Although, I rarely used this but I'd say it still counts as I never use it anymore)
And right now, I'm in the process of quitting Google Maps and Youtube and replacing them with something else. I just can't seem to give up Android and Gmail because I love Android but hate Apple and Gmail is used for a lot of Accounts and Android. I should also mention that I plan on also getting rid of Google Drive and replacing that with something else but I'm not sure what.

So what about you? Are you focused on your Privacy or do you not really care?

I don't think I'm as extreme as some people as far as privacy but I consider myself to be somewhat conservative. I have friends in their 20s who are to the point of paranoia when it comes to their privacy and I find that concerning. They make things out to be more stressful than they should in my opinion. It might also because I grew up where everyone's name was in the White Pages of the telephone book. If you knew their last name you could easily get the telephone number and address. No biggie. No one panicked about it.

I get all my emails through POP3 into the outlook, so no google required for me. Search is tricky because duckduckgo doesn't have all that I want. So that kind of limits me.

I was extreme once but you tend to chnage overtime. Even then It's important regards your own privacy since at times you should keep your real life off from the world of internet, that's why most know me empire

Not long ago, I started to just relax but now I'm going all over the place with my Privacy. Installing Privacy-AddOns, quitting Google Services and lots more!
