Just wondering...
-How many pageviews did you get in your 1st month of blogging?
-How many do you have now?
-What did you do to increase your traffic?
I've been blogging for 3 weeks now @ http://youcanthurrylife.blogspot.com and (only) recieved about 120 pageviews so far, so I was hoping to get a topic with some advice for all those who are starting out.
It appears you have a nice clean blog with a smooth layout and you are not running a bunch of ads all over the place so that's great.
Backlinks help a lot - so set up your signature here in this forum because it will count as a backlink each time you post.
A backlink is a link that directs back to your page, just like the one that you wrote in the post above. The more backlinks you have on different sights the more authority that Google and other search engines will give your sight. Then for certain keywords your site will appear on the front pages of the search engines rather then the back pages.
You can also leave backlinks by commenting on other blogs and filling out where it says, "website".
Keep writing original content, and you should be fine. It just won't happen overnight.
One of my longest running blogs started with only a few views per month, now I get almost 1000 per day - and that took about 9 months.
