How much are you making from your forums?

$150 for a permanent spot is expensive but i guess your forum is extremely active.

Activity has nothing to do with. Text links g by pagerank and my forum is page rank 4 which means I can charge $10 a month for a spot at the bottom of the forum. $50 for half a year, $100 for a year and $150 for a permanent spot. I made over $300 last month alone from people buying spots.

But if you get caught you'll get penalized 😉

Paid dofollow links don't work anyway though. At least with Google links like that are easy to detect and their weight can be eliminated. It's not always that a site will get a penalty for buying or selling links; more frequently the paid link just passes minimal link juice and doesn't help the buyer.

I think even the largest forums don't make that much, I make -a few hundred a week 🙁 I'm hoping it will pay off when i find volunteers.

Completely false. Large forums can make 5 digit figures every month.

That's true, but not everyone knows that 😉. Besides, PageRank has been becoming less and less relevant in actual SERPs (the actual search engine rankings) that they're even consider replacing it completely, not to mention Google is out of its "schedule" in PageRank updates, with the last major update in April.

Hah, 2 cents, that's wat Google owes me for adsense.

So realistically, nothing for me either.
