I am not going to, But I am just wondering how much I could get if I ever sell me site.

Info:
Free domain for ever
Hosted for free (maybe)
phpbb3 3.0.4
Disk Space Usage: 44.01/10000 MB (10 GB)

Any more info ask.
I've not seen any other forums like this at all so that is why I am wondering.

Thanks,
Paul

Just because you created a forum; doesn't mean your going to make big bucks on it.

Your forum offers no commercial value, and the only thing i would see your forum being useful for to someone else; is if a christian based organization wanted to buy the actual domain name; and not the forum itself.

Ye I did not think I would get much
I was just wondering how much

And if not much now
How much if it gets big 1000+ members

OK, this is kinda ironic. But, you forum is titled. "your help in life". But, seems you're more interested in making a profit down the road, and helping yourself

Don't take that the wrong way. Just kinda sounded funny when i thought about it.

Worry about the forum being successful. You've got a long journey if you're expecting any value from your site. Just being honest. It's not just on members/post count. Alot of other factors weigh in on your forum's value.

None of this is to do with money at all.
I run this site as I like to help people.

I am mostly asking this as my m8 asked me how much he think I could get from this.

If you think I am only doing tihs site for money cuz of the other topics then I only did them as it would be a big help in the cost and would mean can do comparisons etc

I am sure that if you had a custom and professional phpBB3 style geared towards what your forum is about then you could make some money from it.

People usually if not always check the quality of the website/forum and its design.

At this point I'd say about 20 USD, and that's a stretch.

Websites are really only worth the amount of traffic they receive (and content, but those go hand-in-hand). Basically once you purchase hosting and everything, your ROI isn't going to be much, if anything, during the beginning stages. You're at a loss until you can get enough traffic to get that money back.

Unless you had a premium domain name that was worth thousands.

These bits of information is not really enough to make a good estimate. The disk space usage is not going to provide any worth while information and the fact you pointed out you have a free host isn't a good selling point as that is a bit of expenditure straight away for the new owner.

Information such as unique visitors to the forum, posts per days average and members per day. How many forum users visit on average per day are all what people look for when buying a forum and that is what is usful when putting a price on a forum.

How would it be a free domain forever? Surely once the new owner took over it would be up to them to pay for it...

The value of the forum at current is the value of the domain. Unless you have a decent site, the new owner wouldn't want it.

Since your domain has no PR, the current worth to me would be able $4 (USD).

You haven't had a post all day and in total you have less then 500 posts... if you were lucky though you might get a couple of quid. 😛

A site's value is based on traffic and revenue. How much traffic & revenue is your site getting?

I did not say it's on free host
What I ment by that is my mate is thinking about hosting the site for free,
So that will mean it may be free

It's free as my mate pays for it every year.
So even if I did ever sell up.. what I am not
It mean my mate will still be paying

Even so i am not sure your friend would continue to spend his money hosting and buying the domain for the site for ever once you sell it. What would he get out of it?

Either way, i would want full control and buy hosting with a proper host as would most people as "friends" can easily stop being friends or can quickly close down their hosting.

you guys all prove good points in providing ways to ask for the value of how much a site is worth by giving out info like traffic stats and such...
