This thread is mainly aimed towards people who write software or modifications, but feel free to comment even if you don't do any coding. It seems like there are a lot of vulnerabilities out there, and it seems like more and more pop up every day, even for pieces of software that are worked on by a large team of experienced people. I'm curious to see how others here meet that challenge. What are some of the things you do to make sure that your code is secure?
I do not think you can escape from the world of vulnerabilities, the only thing you can do is try and make it harder for them to be found, or rather exploited. No matter what software you use, or whatever plugin you use, there is always some kind of vulnerability, but I honestly don't think it's about the vulnerability, rather than the time it takes the developers to fix it and send it out to everyone. 😛
