How much is my website worth?

I'm not seriously considering selling my forum, I'm just curious how much it is worth, if you know what I mean?

What would be included in the sale?

Six months hosting with Hawkhost: 3GB space, 30 GB bandwidth.

WordPress blog and forum.

322 Threads - 13 new today.
3,903 Posts - 325 New Today
92 Registered Users
43 Active Users - 1 Registrations Today.
Average 1.88 members per day.

Forum has been open since February 14th.

Those automated calculators are very inaccurate.

Considering it's not making any revenue, and the stats are quite low, and the forum is only a few days old, I'd say $30-$40 would be an accurate value for this site.

Damn. I've paid about $60 towards it so far which means I'm making a loss. Would copyright of the content on the main page (articles and the like) help raise the evaluation? That and the rights to numerous modifications (to the value of approximately $20 off paid mod sites).

Ah, well since you said that, I think it'll be worth more than $30-$40. We're looking at around $60-$80 here.

When I raise the stats a bit, it might be worth selling I suppose. 🙂 Do people ever start sites to sell them?

If the buyer is really into your genre then he/she would pay around $80-100 for it.

Your forum looks great and the posts and members it has do give it some value. It's much easier to start from where your forum is now, than from a domain name that you need to set up a forum on and then start building activity.

However, the only way you can really find out what it is worth is by offering it up for sale. It's real value is what someone is prepared to pay for it. You could start an auction at say £50 and see where it goes from there. If your not comfortable with selling it that low, state in the auction that there is a reserve or increase the starting bid to something you are comfortable with.
