How much should I charge for advertising?

I'm thinking of setting up and advertisement widget on my Blog. My Blog gets about 400 hits a day so far, but it's going up considerably. Last month it was at 288 and this month it is at 392. Plus, I am getting back onto my blog hopefully daily and I am expecting a lot more hits.

What would you say is a reasonable advertisement charge?

You're talking real money, right? Not in forum bucks or anything? If that's the case, with the economy as it is, you should probably list prices as something that people can actually afford.

I'm aware of the economy, I was just seeing if anyone could recommend some prices? I don't want to be charging to much, but I don't want to be charging really cheap amounts. I was wondering if anyone experienced could recommend me some prices? 🙂

SciFi Zone gets around 200 a day and Im able to sell ads around the $5-6 Range. For a Standard Cost I would say around $6-7, but offer a small discount for orders over a month. So, you have to worry less about the ads.

What about just running Adsense instead? Have you considered that possibility?

Adsense is ok, but you have to rely on people auctually clicking on the link. Where as if you get paid people to advertise on your site, then its actual income.

Well I charge about $20 for a header banner on my forum which gets over 1,000 hits a day. I do deals however like buy 1 month get one free so maybe you could concider something like that?

I do not like the theme, it is too red.
Make it cleaner, and you have a customer.

After finding out more about hits, I was just counting visits and not unique visits. My unique visits count at the moment is 5351 for October 2009. As it's the 20th today it works out at around 268 unique visits a day :roll:

I did change the blog theme a bit, I agree it's much too red!

Just have an advertise link in the nav bar really but I often tell people and leave threads on promotion forums to tell people I offer the service.

Payments from the US are exactly the same as Payment from users located in the UK. There is no problems accepting them where ever you are from.
