With each generation of game systems, the prices steadily rise. As such, with each generation of systems, we potentially lose a portion of the gaming populace. Mostly because of expense.
Right now, we pay an average of $60 per game. Which is a price that would have been considered unrealistic 15 years ago. There is a real chance that gaming's price could rise again with the next systems.
So, how much would you be willing to pay? Or would you just give up on gaming?
Re: How much will you be willing to pay for your games next
Great question.
I personally think $60 is too much but I still pay it so I can play all the new games.
I try and limit buying games unless i really want them, so i dont spend too much.
I have a feeling you are right that the prices will go up for the next generation games past $60, but i don't think it will be too much more, maybe $70.
Another thing the entertainment industry, especially game developers is, when prices are too high, more people will turn to pirated software.

I don't think I'd be willing to go much past what it currently is. I rarely ever buy new games these days unless there's some kind of deal or promotion going on.
