How much you have invested to run your forum ?

I believe that we need to have huge budget to run a successful community forum. Because you will need to pay money for hosting, domain and promotion. If you will run a paid to post community forum than you will need more money. Currently I am running a paid to post community forum and my forum is online since 2014. In this period I have invested nearly $400 (may be more). I have also got some payment from my advertisers, so I think this budget is fine for me.
What about yours ? How much you have invested for your community forum ??

It's not huge, but it's been around for a while and a lot of projects are funded through it to help maintain our growth.

I've invested $0.00. I don't have that much money really to put in my forum, but there are a ton of free resources out there to run a successful forum if you really look and get creative. Though I do want to buy a domain name for my current forum. 🙂

Hmm, I think probably around $150-200 between domain registration/renewal, hosting, custom plugins, a theme, various competitions, and promotion/advertising. Well worth it.

The most I have ever spent has been around $450 (Webmaster Lounge), all of which was my own money. That was for the acquisition of the community, theme, licenses, addons and all of that jazz.

GameRebels currently has nearly $3,500 put into it.
Ranging from custom logos, to custom forum design, custom addons and scripts, from game servers costing $180/m.

Don't even get me started on how much I spent on other forums

Are you including the hosting and domains? If so then it has been around $500 USD for three years

As the website point of view with logos and banners and everything, I be looking at another $300 to $400, I also mention that it cost be $120 each year just to renew my IPS licence that's without the other renew fee of plugins.
