How much do you think NetsLee could be worth?

Over 3000 posts, over 30 members, IPB license.

No domain as i want it.

No domain (-$10)

Member base, if active could go for anywhere from $20-$100
IPB license (if not expired) can still go for full amount of $145
(if not close to expiring)

To be fair what person would want netslee.co.uk? 😛

Member base - About 5 active users?

IPB license expired few days ago($25 to renew) but im still able to make and create support tickets, topics etc.. No idea why i aint lost that.

You will loose the support ticket use after the invoice expires.

Also, I assumed you had a tld domain, sorry.

The person who buys your forum. When they buy your site your members will have lost it which isn't a good deal for the buyer. Selling the domain is important if you're selling a forum

That's true. Cause people won't know what domain to use and the domain that is currently in use is already optimized to the content thats on the forum.

If you're not including the domain, then the content alone isn't really worth that much. It's like me selling a copy of my database. Only thing that would have value is the IPB license.

Ok lets chuck the whole stuff in, IPB License, Forum, Domain. Ill even host the forums to save any down time.

I want prices now. :great:

Eh let's say $100-$300. Broad, yes. You might want to wait to grow a bit before selling, 3,000 posts isn't very attractive really

So, are you saying that she should promote the forum a bit more before officially selling it?

Sorry, I've never bought or sold forums for real money before. Kind of a new concept as far as even talking about it.

I don't think it's worth much at all. Especially because of the small member base. 3k posts and 5 active members is not worth hundreds of dollars. If I were you, I'd renew the IPB license and just sell the IPB license. Forget the site.

Yeah with the above, sell the IPB license separately then sell the domain & database together

I kind of disagree with Jonathan's statement. Not everyone has an IPB license, so therefore, you should at least sell it by default but allow them to opt-out of purchasing the IPB license along with it (just say something like $50 off). In one sense, with the IPB, you might be able to get $75-100 if you're lucky, but you don't have a visible stream of revenue, and that's going to cut down on potential buyers.

el, many people won't want the forum with IPB for a higher price and others can convert the software to one they have a license for.

I guess it can be done either way though

Well, I did say give them a discount for not taking it rather than making them pay extra for taking it. Besides, used licenses of commercial software have dramatically gone down as of late.

If the database actually has good content on it, then it will have worth, if it's not going to be used again. Right now, just the database would probably be worth maybe $40.

Dot.co.uk is as good as a tld, no? In some ways, it's better than a dot.com if you are marketing yourself to UK users...
