How often do you tell your staff members you appreciate them?

I tell my IRL staff everyday about the impact they have on the children's lives they manage each day this summer.

If I had noticed someone going and doing something beyond the typical, I would generally thank them for it. I rarely give appreciation for someone doing the typical, unless it is something that is generally difficult to the specific individual, but easy enough for everyone else.

Every time someone gave me actual appreciation for something I do, it is either coming from someone in which I am am in the middle of fixing that person's mistake, or way after the fact, after I had left the staff.

I like appreciation like everyone else, but rarely get it when I need it the most.

I think it matters most coming from those closest to us. I've had strangers give me compliments and it does absolutely nothing for me. But when my mom or my grandma compliments me. It really makes me feel great. I don't get that feeling of fulfillment & gratification from other people.

Alot. Any time my writer congratulates me on my site's progress I always say I couldn't have done it without thrm.

I try to encourage Staff & members alike. Just a nice pick-me-up for people.

I am going to need to kick start a staff team most likely, or at least some moderators to help out with the duty on the support forum. However I think appreciation is important if not more important than criticism as most people get motivated if they know their work is making a difference to people’s lives
