How often do you back up your files on your computer/laptop? Have you found that you needed to return to the back up copies for any reason?

I probably should but I never do backups of my computer 😬

Servers I tend to backup weekly and high value sites, daily.

I usually make a back up after a friend loses all their info 😉 But I don't do it as often as I should even though I have an external hard drive that can quickly be hooked up and updated.

I make the occasional monthly backup on some of my files when I need to clean things, but not the entire computer.

Backup of good thing is very important as we aslo had a backup and computer also have a backup now days backup is very easy companies like facebook, google provide backup

Every 24 hours my Site database gets backup using a simple cron job, however, that not a full site backup 🙁 I mean to do FULL backup I need to have a paid based since I'm over 25GB.

I did once backup my Laptop over the cloud with google drive, but very slack this time around.

Most of my important files are saved on the cloud so there is no real need for me to back up my computer.

I will never forget the first day I lost all my date to virus attack simply because I didn't backup. It all seemed like a joke until it became crystal clear I can't recover any of the files lost.

Ever since then, I have backups done every 3 days and always on every weekend.

I use off-site storage mediums for things such as files and picture, I never do system snapshots as it just isn't something I feel I need to do.

I don't think I've ever backed up my computer. I really should pay for cloud storage on Windows 10 so I wouldn't lose my files. My computer recently shut down on me (the old one I had) and I lost almost all my files.

Pay, why use pay if you can do it for free

@Empire I run out of the amount they give you for free. I can't afford it anyway. But Windows 10 doesn't come with very much unless you pay for it. Unfortunately I just disable the cloud storage option every time. It ends up messing up my files because there's not enough room, so I just delete it.

Old ways, get an HDD drive or a portable drive and do a backup to your drive as a recover backup drive. even discs. At times the old ways still work.

Honestly, if I was you, I would go buy a 1TB external hard drive for like $40 and use it, and maybe smaller USB drives for reassurance.

Important stuff is backed up daily to a NAS, other stuff is done weekly on a schedule
