I have YouTube or YouTube music (would use Spotify but the ads are annoying and I can't afford premium) open most of the time while browsing or working, so I just basically always have it open.
I probably go on youtube a few times a day to see what new music has been released, but I use spotify a lot more than Youtube. I also watch a lot of upcoming movie trailers and game trailers on youtube.
I mainly use it to watch videos while I'm eating because it's something I'll be able to stop doing easily once I'm finished with my meal or snack. Sometimes, I'll also use it for music before I go to add it to my Spotify playlists if I'm trying to add a bunch of songs at once from different artists but want to make sure I like them all before I add them.
I'll use YouTube when I want to learn how to do something, go over a hymn for church or listen to other music. I use it the most for learning how to do things probably. Most recently, I watched step by step how to change the engine oil filter and cabin air filter for both my vehicle and my husband's. Prior to that, I learned how to replace the fan assembly for our bathroom exhaust fan and it's amazingly quiet now and not a fire threat. I prefer to save money by doing things myself, when I know how, so YouTube helps me out with that.
I use YouTube for some formal news that is essential to me, I use it for entertainment and learning purposes. It is my go-to site every day. I cannot go a day without YouTube.
Almost on daily basis I browse YouTube because I want to learn new methods of online earning. Sometimes something new comes through this way, and I started working there.
