How often do you change your primary email to something new?

My primary email account got spam maybe once a month! Recently I changed the email address from a music store account to my primary one and suddenly I'm inundated with spam! I got 140 in 24 hours!! I never click on links, I don't respond to spam ever, etc....so this music store has to be the culprit.

I'm seriously thinking of beginning a new primary email all over again. It's a lot of work though.

Some don't allow you to create a new account unless you authorize with a cell phone, which we don't use. I wasn't one to create new accounts anyways but now I'm more cautious.
I have 5 email accounts. I have different ones for different things. i.e. one is for family. One for newsletters. One when I need to email questions & may get spammed. Then the other 2 I keep in case that 3rd one I need to delete from too much spam lol I have hotmail, AOL, Ymail, our phone carrier, Protonmail. I've had most of them for a very long time.
Protonmail is quite good & is really focused on privacy so they are great at helping with spam.

I have many email accounts for many things. I use my own domain email to join websites and forums using Gmail. I never need to change or make new, I always end up using my personal email address with Hotmail/outlook since 2008

Oooh Hotmail was awful for getting spam. Don't you get a lot of it?

Not really, not a lot like I used to. most spam goes into the spam folder then again after a while they never get to be sent into my inbox as I flag them and report them. It's has been cleanup allot.

I think I've only changed once but it's so difficult I don't bother.

Hardly, my main email remains for important sites that it won't get spammed on, for site that I know won't keep it secure I use a less useful email. For my most secure and finical sites, I use a very protective and secretive email.

I’ve been using the same primary email for over a decade now, and I don’t see myself changing it. I’ve got other emails set up, but they all just forward to my primary.

My primary is close to 17 years now, I have a few others I use for sites.

I don't bother. I have two main emails that I switch between depending on what I use but I couldn't imagine creating a new main email now

I was forced to change my primary email when my original Internet provider who I'd been with since the days of dial-up was taken over by TalkTalk, the world's worst ISP. That was a hard lesson learnt so since then I've used my own domain as my primary email.

I still use my first email address that I made back when I turned 19.

i still have my very first email i made many years ago and does fill up with spam, though i do have many others for either work, development, and general.

my primary personal email i usually only use if i trust a website is not going to spam or send me a load of junk mail.
