How often do you clean out your PM boxes?

Okay, this is kind of a stupid question, but I felt we should get some topic of discussion going, so I have to ask you: How often do you clean out your PM boxes.

I just noticed here at Forum Promotion that I am very bad at it, lol. I still had an interview sitting in there from when I had Let's Just Talk, and I had another PM from September of 2008... exactly a year old! So as you can tell, I'm very bad at it. But I think I've been getting sidetracked alot lately, so that's why I've not cleaned mine out.

In general, on other forums I try to clean them out periodically and not let messages stack up. Unfortunately, on one forum, I let my messages get passed the 50 message limit mark... can't remember what forum this was on, and I had to delete them all before I could send or recieve any new messages!

What about you guys?

Yeah, that's me as well. I try to do them often. But like I say, I think I keep getting sidetracked, because I still had messages in my inbox from a year ago, which I think is when I joined up with FP... can't remember for sure.

And on the 50 message limit mark, I think that was a forum that I myself had when I let the messages go to the limit. I think that was when we were at the peak of getting busy, and I was busy replying to everything and things like that. It was either my own forum or on Forum Advertiser when it was open.

In any event, I try not to let my messages stack up.

No, I never do. They usually remove the last message to show the new one, such as FP's system

About every 2 months but I only ever seam to delete a third of the posts.

Practically never. Most forums give me enough room to just have them pile up.

But if I need the space, I'll delete a few.

I hardly ever clean out my PM box. Typically on my forum if Im doing some sort of a contest where people need to IM me a submission or response, Ill keep it clean, but other than that... no.

Depends on the limit. Generally when it gets close to that. If it is unlimited then never.

I set mine to auto delete the oldest messages. So every time a new one comes in, the 50th one gets deleted. If anything is important I move it to the save folder.

Whenever it passes 45 I delete them 🙂.
