Are you constantly working on your site? How often do you usually upgrade/tweak your site?

I tend to keep a couple of weeks in terms of a window between something releasing and actually upgrading it, but I am always tinkering with styles and things, because I love to play around. 🙂

My admin(evolution) works on the designs and updates the software while I love to work on the seo side of things & content. I usually tweak things every few weeks when necessary. I’m not that good at styling. I work on my directory a lot and try to upgrade game profiles a lot.

One of the best way to learn styling is to create a test style and just start tweaking everything. You'll learn every facet that way and grow your skills easily 🙂

Upgrades and tweaks are always good, it shows that you are committed and looking for ways to better the site/community. However for larger updates/overhauls I feel these should be less frequent as constant large scale changes can be off putting for people as they don’t know what is happening a lot of the time.

My blog is neglected. I have not been there for quite some time. It is time I get there and revamp it.

I am always working on my sites daily and I ensure that I check at least once a week for updates in terms of theme, add-ons or even Xenforo updates and will upgrade them once I know that there is an update.

I feel being on top of updates helps keep your site safe and you can never be too careful.

IPS updates come in fast when they do release it and I always do it right away 😉 However addons takes longer and with IPS marketplace closed it makes it even harder to keep up

The closure of the marketplace is still a decision I'm not a fan of. Understandable, of course, but it feels like cutting off their nose to spite their face.

most of the third-party Devs have left or not focusing as much, plus I have not had any emails for months now 🙁

Makes sense, why stay somewhere that doesn't value your talents?

Has anyone ever found that doing updates to their forum has backfired and the community hated it?

What did you do? Did you stick with it and try win the community around or did you revert back?
Cam stuck with it, I helped here and there, and outside of two curmudgeons, things have been alright 🙂

I like to tinker with my sites on the regular, and I always update my software when the devs push a new version.

My forum does automatic software updates. I do, however, like to change the theme of the forum monthly.

Yes, yet at the same time I had members that like it - End of the day you can't please everyone

I rarely update any of my sites. Apart from security updates which get applied immediately I leave other software updates until I know they won't present any issues for my members.

It's very rare that I'll change the look and feel of a site unless I feel there's a compelling reason to do so.
