I always get e-mail from SEO companies which claim they get me high rankings for very competitive keywords like "computer", or lots of traffic from search engines.
But, I'm kind of sceptical if they can promise me top 3 results in Google for high competition keywords, or just take my money, and run, or do a bad job on SEO, so I never replied to any of their e-mails.
Have any of you gotten good SEO help from a SEO company which e-mailed you?
E-mail should have a scam button showing how many people mark the sender as a spammer/scammer like how people can thumbs down YouTube videos if the video is full of lies, or bad content.
I agree most SEO traffic building related e-mails look spammy, and I bet all you be paying for is someone to help you buy thousands of links from spammy sites like link farms, spamming your link all over the internet, and eventually getting you banned from all the major search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing.
SEO is pretty much dead in the water in my book, for Google they have been purging SEO keywords that may look spammy in search queries. You should read up on new SEO techniques and join the Google Webmasters forum for SEO advice - there you will get some very valuable advice.
Promising SEO results should throw up an immediate red flag. Companies that do are either scamming, are desperate for customers, and/or not interested in repeat business.
Google is a finicky bitch. Unless you're an authority site like Walmart.com, Bestbuy.com, Twitter.com, etc you can expect your site to bounce around sometimes.
