When someone wrongs a person, how should they apologize?

Often times the usual quick "sorry" and retreat just doesn't cut it. It feels empty and insincere.

I don't think there is any one set way to apologize and it depends on the person you're apologizing to. Some people require more of an effort than others.

You just end up saying sorry and explaining what's needed and making that person feel better and or whatever the outcome is. It depends on what you did wrong.

I mean I had to do it even if I was right 😛

For me, I don't need any special process to accept an apology. Just saying sorry is enough apology to me. I don't have to make it difficult for people to mend fences.

So very true. Most people can sense sincerity easily. And most "sorrys" ever said were never sincere. It was just a way out.

I have no problem to apologize when it is appropriate or necessary.
I have no problem offering no apology when it isn't appropriate or required by me.

But I don't just toss them around.
