How can i create a PHPBB forum not from forumotion . Like this site and other mostly co.cc sites . Please help me how to create a site like this and the forums have a domain co.cc .

Will be more appriated if you tell me how to create forum of PHBB by screen shots .

From where do i get Cpanel ? I dont want co.cc domain i want PHPBB hosting . Same like this one .

Its not phpBB hosting. phpBB is the software, hosting is where you place the software on. There are many places where you can get hosting. eg. right there in your signature, or mine. PhpBB software can be found on the phpBB website, or through some cPanel auto installers.

No, please don't PM me. Please post it on the forums, since there is a wider knowledge bank ready to help anyone with similar issues 🙂

If you are using Chris' host, then go to your cPanel, look towards the bottom for Softaculous, click that. Then it will open up in a new tab (I think; but not important) and then scroll down the left hand side and look for phpBB under the forums category. Click that and then there will be a download link at the top. Click that and then follow the instructions.

Don't use softcalous, It downloads an edited version of phpbb and phpbb may refuse support get it from phpbb.com

Autoscript installers are good for people who are very limited when it comes to knowledge of php and how forums work or for people that want to quickly test out software.

If you can, you shouldn't install a script using an auto installer if it is going to be live and not just a test.

Did you download the phpBB software? In the zip (or whatever they give you), upload whatever is in the upload folder through FTP or likewise (I use FireFTP, but if you don't know how to use FTP, I could consider helping you if you PM me). Then, you have to create a MySQL database, which is done in cPanel (just Ctrl+F and find MySQL Databases, or database, I can't remember). Then, you run the install. If you have to CHMOD (CHange MODe) any files or folders to 0777 or 777, you can do that in the File Manager of cPanel or your FTP client (change permissions is typically where you find it). When it asks you for your Database Username and Password, you can use your cPanel username and password. Anyways, I'm sure the installer won't kill you, though 😛. Hope that helps.

The files aren't too heavily edited, but there are some edits which is why I don't recommended using soft or installtron or fantasico and these sometimes cause problems, it drives the phpBB Team up the wall.
