How to find a target audience for forums?

Hmm, I've been trying to think about an target audience for my forum, since it's about music....
I don't think it's that easy to find a target audience.

Music has a huge target audience, it's called ... everyone. :lol:

If I had a music forum I would get a YouTube account and post millions of videos. People look for a music video, see yours, follow a link to your forum.

That's actually a very interesting idea, and sounds very lucrative. All you have to do is really post some music reviews in youtube vids, etc. Do that, and post as many music topics as you can on your forum. Then, promote promote promote. Make some friends around forums, mainly because when they see your forum, they'll want to come to your site and post because they're connected to you. Other than that? Just be patient, you'll get there eventually 😉
