Why is there a two month push policy? Just curious... 🙂

Sam, Namecheap specified on their site that they required a two month wait before a domain could be transferred. That requirement may have been lifted since then, but that was the original reason for the two month waiting time. However, the spirit of this offer was to provide webmasters with domains that they would develop sites on. It was not intended to provide people with domains that they could quickly sell on for a profit. That was a reason for maintaining the two month requirement.

It is something we will look at and perhaps change in the future.

Thanks for the answer. I 100% agree with the requirement and the fact people who get the domains should not be trying to flip the domain/ site for a quick profit. Maybe the reason for the two months should be updated?

Yes most probably. I say "most probably" because I do believe that we will still be running this offer in a year, but I can't guarantee it. Also I will only be able to renew the domain, if it is in my NameCheap account.

Yes it is Moneyman. We register the domain once you request it and we change the DNS settings so you can use the site, straight away. Then two months later I can push the domain to your NameCheap account.

We don't currently have any affiliations with a host to be able to offer that. It could be a possibility in the future, but only Fergal can really answer that.

It could be a good addition to reduce the amount of FP$ floating around. I'm sure one of the webhosts on here would offer you a good deal as well which would work out cheaper than offering domains for FP$. 🙂
