how to get active members???

Well I've been thinking soooo much about this..
getting a member to register is one thing
getting him/her to be active is another...


I've tried everything, site games, an arcade, vitual pets etc. etc. etc.
but just can't get results


any more experienced admins out there have any tips/ tricks....

Post stuff that other member want to talk about. That always worked for me.

Ask what they want to see, it might help you out a little but other then that, I am not to sure.

Always have fresh new content for your viewers to see, having the same thing each day will not make them want to come back to see, if you have same stuff, why would they come back only to see nothing has changed? Think about that and it will help. 😉

Follow up with the members/
After they join, help guide them around the site.

Also, your site looks pretty cool, id join, but these days, i only join sites to affiliate with em

First, Look for a niche that really attracts you.
You should know alot about it, So you can write usefull article's about the topic.

Second, You, The owner should be the most active member on the board, Write new articles regulary. Make sure there's always something new to read, And to talk about.
