I would like to know how some of you get people to post comments on your blog, I have 90+ articles with only 9 comments :/ Its a gaming blog, and I don't know why people are not commenting, you don't even need to register to comment on my blog :/ Can you give me some tips please?

Stimulate activity, you can usually find people willing to comment on articles for cheap. If they see other replies it can compel people to chip in their 2c.

Write articles in such a way that people who read it HAVE to reply, even if it is to disagree with you. Write purposely outrageous, opinionated and unique articles. Generic articles don't really spark much discussion because there is nothing to actually speak about.

Thanks for the feedback.

You need to make your blog more popular to make visitors comment on your blog posts. You should write quality and interesting articles which will help you to attract more comments on your posts. Also try some social media promotions of your blog posts to get more visitors on your blog.

You can pay people to write comments on your site, once visitors see that there is activity on the site and people comment regularly, they'll think of your site as a popular site and would like to associate themselves with it. To do so, they'll end up writing comments on your articles.

Further you can comment of other people's blog similar to your niche with a link back to your site(Wordpress blogs offer this feature) People will see that and the ones who see might come to your site and comment, besides that you'll gain some backlinks.

Tough to get comments on your blog, on main blog, over 1300 readers, I only get 4/5 comments on articles, I get more comments on FB

I have it set up so every time I make a new post, it goes to twitter and facebook!

-- 28 Dec 2013, 01:44 --

Well instead of paying people to make comments, could't I just make comments on my own blog to simulate activity?

Sometimes, just asking for comments works. Like asking on a gamer forum or any general chat forum (where you can get a signature line to show gamer blog link). '... hey guys, i just posted a new article on (insert topic here), check it out if you would. I really appreciate your feedback/critique. Think you will really like it.'

That's all I ever do.

Also, i like your blog, left a comment. 🙂

I find that asking a question at the end of your post helps to engage the audience. Even if it is something simple like "What did do you think of this person?" or whatever. Once a couple people start commenting then more people will start to join.

I've done that before and it really works. Some people just feel compelled to answer back. And, being able to answer a question gives the reader something else to do after finishing the article, rather than leaving.

A lot of people just read blogs, myself included.
Easier to get followers and likes on these than
comments sometimes. Every word equals a bit
of work & effort!
