Hello

I am currently struggling to get people to sign up on my Forums. I have a good amount of content but am lacking members and I dont have 1000 emails to make a member for each account. Its incredibly frustrating because none of my friends are helping me because they are so stubborn.

Anyone got any tips for this? I did put up a Facebook page for it, getting a few likes on it, and made a google adwords ad. Still getting nothing but more guests that dont sign up.

First off, it's important to note that most guests browsing a website at a given time are bots rather than real people, and they either won't sign up, or if they do, they will spam the forum. For that reason, one possibility is that there are not any guests browsing your forum, and you need to improve how you promote your forum.

In addition to that, there are a number of ways to make your forum more attractive to potential members:

1. Get more content in your forum. I recommend doing posting exchanges with other members on this forum in order to build content. With more content, your forum looks more appealing. http://forumpromotion.net/building-cont ... exchanges/

2. Improve your website's design. I took a look at your website, and it looks good, but there are a few issues. A: For some reason, your forums do not show who made the latest post in each section. This is a good feature to have. B: I recommend making your forum more colorful. http://forumpromotion.net/design-matters/

3. A subset of the previous suggestion, I suggest you choose a different icon for each section to make your forum look more lively. http://forumpromotion.net/using-custom-forum-icons/

And also, I highly suggest that you get a customized review from our review team here at FP. We can help you make your website better. 🙂

Good luck! 🙂

If I'm correct the 3rd option has to do with the skin, so I'm not too sure if I can change that. I made it so that guests can now see the last info on the board index. As for 1, I have done several post exchanges however I'm struggling to get them in time due to being busy so I don't want for people to accuse me of exchange scam.

Looks like most of the things is covered in the above posts but I think you really need something unique on your forum. I don't know what you forum is but from your username, I am assuming its a football forum. In this case, you should offer something that other football forums don't offer.

Good luck!

I use a football forum, and have used another one. So in total I have used 2. I did my homework to make them unique from other forums in terms of organization, added a "playing football" section which most forums don't have and organized the club threads. I still haven't done much SEO work however, but that won't guarantee people joining. It will be a boost and i'm working on it but yeah it wont be a guarantee.

There are a lot of football fans out there but there are also a lot of football forums so I would recommend you to build up the post count first using FP posting packages and if you don't have time to do exchanges, you should buy posts to create content. To be honest, a forum with a few thousand posts won't attract many people to join because people can tell its a new forum and there isn't many active members. People like to join active forums so I would recommend you to invest into it and build it up the forum activity before expecting people to sign up.

Buy post content? I didn't even know you could do that.

Can you tell me how I can do so? I am nearing 1000 posts.

Yes, you can buy posts in the forum cash exchange forum or forum and blog services marketplace forum.

You can either pay people FP$ or real money for them to post on your forum.

1000 posts in not bad but I think you should really try to increase your post count before expecting people to sign up. Also, you could make an advertising section on your forum which might encourage a few sign ups. Just a suggestion!

How about a staff application forum? I need a few staff. I don't really want a place to advertise other people's forum because I expect them to join just to post their forum and then leave.

Well, it is only my suggestion so its up to you. If you are worried that people will just post their forum and leave you can make it so that only members with at least 30 posts can post in the advertising forum.

A staff application forum could work. If you need staff then FP is a good place to hire some. Check out the job section.

It depends on what your forum is about. Competition among forums, especially early on, can be very discouraging.

Don't give up, though. Keep posting interesting content. They'll come.
