One forum listed on here seems to have around 100 visitors at any time and big forums like Digital point have 1000 or more visitors at any time. Anyhow, what are some basic reasons these forums have so many people? What changes can we make to approach those levels?
Note, when I say any time that doesn't mean all day, but just at random times when going on the forum.
It's probably because they have always been big, hence they are still big.
There is no magic formula. You have to be at the right place at the right time taking a certain degree of risk and putting in a mountain of effort and you generally want to already have a large number of followers from something synergistic which you can quickly translate into users.
Let's say I start a forum software and I have a whopping fifty thousand followers on say YouTube.
If these are fifty thousand administrators, then I have just hit the mother lode. However. If it's a LP channel with mostly gamers who would never run a site in their lives, then it's nowhere near as useful and it wouldn't be strange if not a single person came out of it.
