[?] How to increase inbox size, phpBB

Well...yea...

I know that there is a function that you can change user's inbox size, but I can't find it

I think if you go into the ACP>Private Message Settings> there should be something in there that allows you to increase how many messages you want your members to have. I don't know how to do it for an individual user, though. I've never had to do it before. I only know how to do it for the whole forum.

Yea, that's overall. I wonder how to change it for 1 group or for 1 member.<br /><br />-- 14 Sep 2010, 15:57 --<br /><br />There is a sercive in FP that you can buy more space for your inbox. How do you do that?

Group called "PM" right? I've seen that group around here...Ok thanks 🙂

Make a new group and set the following value to the number of PM's you want that group to be able to store per folder
"Group private message limit per folder:"

I really don't want to create another thread, so I'll ask here.

I know it may sound silly, but how to send mass PM to certain groups? I really can't find a way how to do it. I tried google, got no asnwer....

Thanks!

In the acp, go to manage groups. Select the group you want to mass PM. Find the following setting:
"Group able to receive private messages:"

Check that box (if not already) then go to the PM compose page and a groups bix should appear on the right with the group(s) you have set to allow PM's.

You will need to check your user permissions and the permissions of the members to ensure that users can't send out mass emails themselves and that you can send them out.

I checked all premissions in ACP, all activated.

I can't highlight anything there....Can't see any groups there... Only 'find members'.

Double check the permissions from all groups as something must be stopping it. Make sure that no group you are part of has the "Can send messages to groups" set to never as that overwrites any yes permissions that other groups you are is has set for that permission.

I checked all gruops, still can't see any groups on there... It may be a template bug? Maybe I don't have that code in my template?
Can some1 tell me that piece of code, please?

It won't be a template issue, its a permissions issue.
