How to Install Mods for PhpBB 3 Forums

I still dont get it. Can you find a video tutorial that explains how to install mods?

Also, I don't recommend using Notepad. It corrupts files, use Notepad++.

Wouldn't AutoMod be the easiest choice though?

The instruction of installing a phpBB modification is inside the zip file. But modifications does require coding experience.

Thats not totally true. You just copy and paste code. You don't need to know what the code does or even know what code it is to install them. You don't need any knowledge of coding to install them. If you want to tweak the mod or change the appearance then yes but to just install them you don't need any coding knowledge.

I downloaded AutoMod on my board and tryed installing http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... &t=1951935 but it just messes up my board so I have to delete the old board and re-install phpBB. That's why I dont want to start anything on y forum untill i get all the mods i need safely onto my board. Fowler, can you install the mods for me?

You should definitely not use AutoMOD. It misses edits.

Fowler probably doesn't have the time. If you really can't figure out how to install the modifications, then I suppose you could drop me a PM.

I think that you could probably figure it out if you gave it a good effort, though.

I just need someone to break it down in the simplest steps. I can do it, but i need a little more explanation. If you'd like, after i gain your trust, i'll let you add mods for me. You can be the Techinical Admin on my forum 🙂
