I’ve been wondering how to actually track my SEO progress but I must confess that it's really not easy. Like, how do you know if your site is improving or just there? I’ve used Google Search Console, all the jargons on the console can be quite confusing. Are there better tools for checking ranking, keywords, or backlinks in real time?

Analytics and search console is all I use. I track my search results, and optimize for keywords that bring me traffic(the ones relevant to my site/forum).

You can keep Google Search Console, but you can add a few tools that make things clearer. You can try something simple like Google Analytics to see traffic changes over time. You can use an SEO checker such as Ahrefs Webmaster Tools or Ubersuggest to track keywords and backlinks without dealing with too much jargon. You can set up weekly or monthly reports so you know if your ranking is moving in the right direction. You can start with these basics and build from there.

You can monitor SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console. Track metrics like organic traffic, keyword rankings, click-through rates, and bounce rates. Regular audits and backlink analysis help spot issues and guide improvements over time.
