Hi there - I just bought the domain "www.blametheref.net" and I want to set it up for my Zetaboards forum.

I've tried setting up a CNAME setting, but it's not working.

Any help?

You need to find the zetaboards nameservers and point your domain at them. 🙂

I was told by Zetaboards support I didn't have to touch nameservers, but set up a CNAME thing?

Seriously, if you're going to buy a domain, I would suggest moving to a real host.

Not a lot of us here have a lot of experience with Zetaboards, I would suggest taking this problem to their support forums.

But one thing you could always do is just link the domain to the url of your board.

Why do you say that? ZB is a perfectly fine forum host. Just because you don't host the forum doesn't mean its a bad host.

Edit: To answer your question, I believe you have to go into godaddy, create a new cname, and direct it at whichever server you are on, for example: s1.zetaboards.com you would direct it at. then go into your domain manager and put the domain in.
