How to remove sidebar in wp?

I am building a website through wordpress. And I would like to have the pages in full width, with no sidebar. However, the theme just asks to select either left sidebar, or right sidebar. How to remove the sidebar in either direction, just keep the page layout as one column? Thank you!

You can get a theme with no sidebar. Or you can check the CSS coding if you know how to edit them. This will help you to have a website with full width.

In the page settings you may be able to select the layout of the page.



It all depends on your theme.

@RH-Calvin , thank you for the reply and information, yea I decided to look for themes which enable full width layout or one column.

@Jamie, thank you for the instruction, yea in some themes they do have that possible to set the layout for full width.
