Alright, I am selling YourAdPromotion tonight at 12AM.

The forum is on Vbulletin software and I am wanting to keep my account, but possibly be demoted back down to possibly moderator. I want to keep my account but yet, move the other user into ROOT admin where no other admin may demote them. So basically they will be new owner. How do I go about doing this?

Make a new account called admin and change your status and give the new owner the Uname & PW. They can change the username once signed in.

Don't worry, the member is a GREAT member and they have good potential for it as well. I may remain Administrator. I will still be as active as I am now.

Make yourself a position such as founder with all permissions unless you are wanting to leave the admin side of things to a new person.

This will not work as posts and accounts are linked to an ID, not name.

Just make them pay prior to making them an account, then get them to make a new account give them founder status and get them to remove you/demote you, simple 🙂

Ask the new owner to register. Then promote them to Admin. After that it's up to them to demote you.

If you look in the config.php file you will see that there is some code for member accounts that cannot be altered. If you put the new owner's member ID in there, no one else will be able to alter their account in the ACP.
