We have insects building a nest in our wall...but they're hard to get to so we're having a second exterminator company come out to try to remove them somehow.

But here's what's confusing me. I don't know what type of insect they are! Bee? Wasp? Hornet? They won't slow down enough for me to look at them and they aren't attacking me. I tried getting my binoculars out to see if I could get a better look since they're on the 2nd story of the house but I still can't tell.

If they're honey bees then we're in for a big problem since they're endangered and need to be rescued, not killed.

Do you know your insects? Can you tell the difference between a honey bee, cicada killer, yellow hornet, paper wasp, etc? I sure can't!

Easy answer, no.
For me, I see any sort of insect in my room the next thing I see is my shoe being thrown at it or it being hit with said shoe. I can't stand insects in my room in the slightest so I wouldn't see them long enough for me to learn what it looks like.

I'm good with insects, just not in the wall of my house! It's crazy though that none of them attack me outside no matter what I'm doing. Even the aggressive ones seem to leave me alone. But then again, I'm not swatting at them, or throwing shoes in their direction 😉

Hey throwing shoes is a valid strategy. You can't mess with me if a shoe is being thrown at you. Then you got a problem with the shoe. Either take the hit while I run away or dodge. Unfortunately I have 2 shoes so if you dodge the first I got a 2nd coming your way. Same with getting hit, you may have a 2nd shoe for good measure. Bugs stand no chance inside or outside.

I go buy poison and roach bait every time I see them crawling around a place I live at. My last apartment had them bad. But I managed to keep them down with poison and keeping my dishes washed & my counters and table wiped down, and the kitchen floor mopped. Don't leave them anything to eat & they won't be AS bad.
