So, My father and I have received exclusive rights to repost all articles previously added to a soon to expire domain (expires in January), onto our site The Moral Liberal. The site potentially has 5,000-10,000 articles by looking through various archives on it.

Since it doesnt appear to run on any regular content management software, what would you suggest on ways to repost all of the articles? I am thinking of using website grabbers, to make offline copies of the site, so that I have copies of each article before the site officially goes down, but I have no idea what would be the best in this case.

I am giving myself a week and a half to figure out the best way to do the work, so that everything will go smoothly once I get to the transferring.

So, what are your opinions on what I should do in this case?

Why can't the owners send you the articles, or are they not stored?

HMM. That is a good question. But a better question is, how are you going to store 5,000-10,000 articles on your website?

Post one a day, then it looks more active than posting them all at once in one day.

The owner does not have a offline copy of all the articles sadly.

We already have over 8,000 articles varying in subject. A portion of them are large in size, so I think an another 5,000 or more can be added without doing too much harm to server space. 😉

We discussed it over, and since we will be dealing with a large amount of articles, we feel like we should basically post atleast 25 articles a day, if not more till we get through them all, instead of posting them all in one day.

Since the articles we post are automatically added to google news, If we posted them all at once, it would kill our chance to stay listed in their system, since it would be considered as spam, if that many articles suddenly filled their system. 😉
