How would you get married

How would you get married or how did you get married? Would it be a normal church wedding or a whole different way altogether?

Got married at my mother-in-laws house with a small 20-ish person attendance. Went to the courthouse the day before and legally got married as my mother threatened to ruin the wedding.

I would get married with only myself, my husband, the priest, and two of my best friends, and two of his best friends there. It would be in either a New York street or underwater.

Haha I'm one of those girls that plans their wedding as a little girl, etc.

Well, being Polish, it's tradition to have a huge wedding! In fact, weddings in Poland used to be a 2 day or even a week-long affair. Obviously, that's not really possible because people work, family lives out of state, etc.

Ok, so I'm going to get married in a church, I want a massive dress, hopefully all my family/friends and his family/friends can attend, after the ceremony we're gonna go get pictures taken, and then a crazy awesome Polish reception starting around 4 or 6, with lots of food, dancing, and fun. Around midnight there will be some sort of warm food, like soup or stew served since that's a tradition as well. I don't expect it to be done until around 3-5 in the morning 😀

And I want to get married in summer. I know, I know, it's weird that I have this all planned out 😉

Nothing fancy. Small civil service with family and friends. As long as I've got all-you-can-eat, high quality food and the woman I love* then I'm set.

I got married outside on the banks of Loch Long, underneath a tree in a small village called Arrochar surrounded by mountains. Just myself and my hubby went there, our banns were posted up 3 weeks before, the vicar come out the day before to arrange the service. We asked two new age travellers to be our witnesses and the congregation were the hotel guests and staff. We went inside the hotel after for a 3 course meal with the other guests then walked into the village to the registrars house to sign the paperwork.
