I've been working on starting my first serious forum project where I plan to put long term effort into it and it actually succeed. That being said I spent most of today tweaking the forum to load at the fastest speed possible. Could someone here give me their opinion on this? Awesome! I know the browser check on first load slows your first page load down but it's to reserve resources for users rather than spam-bots. Obviously legitimate search engines Google, Yahoo, Bing, Yandex, DuckDuckGo, etc are exempted from this page. The only thing slowing down the site is the lack of nodes. While there is a separate MySQL server, there is only 1 node running Mybb for the time being. It may change depending on needs. My number one goal is user-experience which means taking the users to pages as fast as possible.
