How you are promoting your forum ?

Wanted to also bring up Coffee News; they're the outfit behind those brown paper handout ads in delis and coffee houses. (I'm not advertising with them right now, but we have had discussions in the past.) They are active in the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Portugal, Papua New Guinea, and Northern Ireland. Rates are relatively cheap. You should be aware of the demographic on this one; I would guess (but do not know for sure) that the respondants would skew towards the older age brackets.

When I get around to creating a advertising topic here, I’ll be starting my promotional journey here at forum promotion. Currently working on contacting various companies and asking them if I can advertise for a amount of money to kick start my project again. Sometimes you have to spend money to earn money.

I am promoting my forum through a forum where I am active, The first members on my forums were the users from the forum where I am active.

It sucks that people care about these “newer” social media platforms then forums now,
I’m definitely trying my best to stay motivated though.
With a new trends, you need to sick with the new and at times go with the new to grow.

Just had a look and it seems like that'll be more suitable for advertising hyper-local business rather than promoting forums/blogs.

I'm promoting my music one on Facebook and FP and my general topic one on FP.

I'm surprised that many of you are promoting it via Facebook - does it really work in terms of traffic? Do people at least registrer? Any of them happen to be active?
Also, and a bit important: what kind of forum are you running (when promoting it via Facebook?)

I might give it a try for a daily basis budget (ie: 1$ per day, for a month, and increase it a bit next month, and see how it goes). But I'd like to check if it works for you guys!

I have a good following on my main brand which is videos and not a forum but my outdoor forum is directly related so I can use that brand to get members. I have 80 something on there now.

My new social media marketing forum will be more of a challenge to market. A challenge I am going to enjoy because in the end, I am trying to develop reputation and authority in social media marketing because I want to do it as a job 😀 I'll probably buy ads for it on social media and do some other things.

I have two forums I’m marketing: a Christian forum and a forum dedicated toward writers and bloggers.

I’m using word of mouth, some social media, and mostly post exchanges with others to get them going.

I want to tap into SEO with these two new forums for more organic traffic.

Have any of you had a lot of organic traffic from search engines?

I tried everything with no luck people view my site then close their tab, disappointing really but it’s life.
Have you tried post exchange , because the more contents that are available on your sites which would make it easier for people to have access to your forum and it would appear top on various search engines depending on the niche which your forum focuses on.

ForumPromotion has definitely helped!
But social media has not, the newer Generations, Gen Z+ don’t care about forums which is a shame.

I have two paid posters on my forum, they regularly create content. I also use forum promotion posting service.

We have 9 Discord servers autosharing most of our new topics to their audiences. Easy extra 5,000 person audience for our content creators, which means more people want to share on our platform.

IS there an DIscord server that anyone can join and promote?

Yeah, just have to search around then 🙂

I don't see how such servers would help anyone. Discord won't help SEO, and the only people that visit platforms dedicated to promotion are people that are looking to promote their own thing. =p
