Site Name: HubPages
Referral Link: http://hubpages.com/_cala/
Non-Referral Link: http://hubpages.com/
Description: HubPages is an easy-to-use web publishing service for writers.
Benefits of HubPages:
* it has a high PR (generally in the 6-8 range) and is a good tool for getting quality backlinks to your forums and other websites
* "hubs" (which are basically hypertext, multimedia articles) are indexed quickly by Google, often within hours of publishing
* it shares revenue from Adsense, Kontera, and the ebay and Amazon affiliate programs on a 60 you/40 HubPages split
* you can write about anything you want, as long as it meets HubPages standards (English-language only, no adult content, no illegal content such as warez, no hate speech, etc.) - people post everything from non-fiction articles and personal essays to product reviews to recipes to poetry and short fiction
Disadvantages of HubPages:
* you must be at least 18 to sign up
* you must have an Adsense account and/or Kontera, Amazon, and ebay accounts to actually make money
* they protect their PR vigorously and do not allow hubs that are deemed substandard or overly promotional (2+ links to the same domain within a single hub, not counting RSS feeds) - there is extensive information on the site about how to meet these standards
If you're interested, I'd appreciate if you'd sign up using my affiliate id, which will give me a 10% cut of your Adsense, etc. revenue (taken from HubPages' 40%, not your 60%). When you sign up, a HubPages affiliate ID will automatically be assigned to you, and you can also create your own custom ones.

Please feel free to ask me any questions you want about getting started on HubPages - I've been a member for nearly 2 years and am pretty familiar with the site.
