Hulu+

I have it. It's great. I wouldn't say I prefer it over Netflix because I have Netflix too and I don't have to choose between them. 😛

I stopped using hulu for the most part after they decided to add 8 commercials to their shows. After they switched over to subscription service I stopped using it entirely. I use netflix and have a basic cable subscription with my super awesome internet to get local channels.

I don't use Hulu that much anymore, but yes I heard about them dropping the free streaming.

I definitely use it a lot for the TV shows I miss on actual TV. I like the movies they've been adding and stuff recently too! 😀

How much does it cost now? When you pay now do you still have to watch ads/commercials? You feel like the content is worth it?

They have 2 plans. You can pay the cheaper plan and yes, still have ads/commercials. Or you can pay for the more expensive plan and have no commercials and etc. I honestly pay for the cheaper because the few ads don't drive me insane. I think I might pay $8 or $10? I can't recall. Whichever I pay, and the more expensive one is $2 more.

Bleh... I can't stand commercials. Which is why I watch as little live tv as possible lol

I usually use it as a time to check my phone. 😛 The movies have no ads. So it's just the TV shows. And really depending on the length of the episode there aren't too many commercials at all. 😛 but that extra 2 dollars might be best for you then 😛

No, no, and absolutely no. 😛 I'm a Netflix fan through and through, likely would never consider switching to Hulu.

Especially after Netflix raised their monthly rate up to $9.99 for everyone. I was on the old plan and got to hold out for a year longer with the $7.99/month. But with a no ads Hulu + Netflix that would be $20/Month for streaming. That's too much. At that point I might as well just dump both and upgrade my basic cable plan.

I use both Netflix and Hulu. But movies/TV shows are a big thing for me. 😛

Idk.. Maybe Hulu makes more money now with the subscription service but I honestly think it was better off before the change. Offer the content free but put ads into it. And then offer a paid service with no ads like they do now so people have a choice. I liked the service, but just don't want to keep singing up for more and more subs.

I consider it a completely separate service. I know they're both video streaming, but Netflix I use for their original series and for older series I can binge-watch. Hulu, on the other hand, is great for catching up on shows as they air. I upgraded to the ad-free plan which has made things a lot better.
