Does anyone here edit their forum software so that it is more user friendly?

I use myBB as my preferred forum software, and I find that a lot of the names and etc are not very user friendly, and generally bulky and ugly.

The registration form, for example...

I took it from this:

3UVrx.webp

To this:

LhDXy.webp

Also for example, changing the name of "threads" to "discussions" and "posts" to "messages".

There are many more, but those are just a few examples.

Anyone do this?

I try to, and I appreciate what you did with it.

I really hate default layouts because it seems more suited to a machine than a person, and it's too impersonal.

The sites with the personal touch are the more memorable.

I try to make my forum as user-friendly as possible, and I love that you can completely customize mybb forums.

Honestly, what you did was condense a lot of features I would personally see as necessary. However, changing phrases and otherwise making the software user-friendly, that's something I do do 🙂

I simply removed them from the registration page. You can easily set them in the user's control panel 😉

I changed the words "Send a message" or something like that to "PM" on peoples profile pages. If that counts?
