What do you think of TV shows, Youtube videos & the like that seem to be geared towards humiliating others?

I don't believe in public humiliation at all. Not even on forums where it's virtual. TV shows honestly, are no longer entertaining. It's all drama & who can have the most Wow factor.
What do you think?

I've seen a few videos of Randy outing fakers. I can't thank this guy enough for the work he's done; these fools shouldn't get away with any of it.

I guess it depends on the situation. Well, there was this show "a thousand ways to die" and that has about as much morals as Gladiator games.

I think humiliating people in the name of entertainment is deplorable. When it ends in someone's death the people responsible should face criminal charges. Here's a prime example of a UK television presenter responsible for at least one death...

It really depends on the situation for me as to whether I like to watch it or not. Something that is done that is geared towards people who are not expecting it and humiliating them is something I am against. There is nothing worse than being caught out and humiliated off guard.

If it's planned and all parties are aware of it then I am more tolerable of it.

Sometimes comedies humiliate people with mental health concerns and that makes me sad sometimes since I have mental health issues.

Some people kind of deserve it. There are consequences when you go on national tv and make an ass of yourself.

If you've ever watched Dr.Phil, you'll know what I mean.

People can have tact without humiliation. I don't believe Dr. Phil went too far but some people can. I do not believe in any form of humiliation. To me it equals bullying. There's always ways to get the point across without belittling another.

That's the first time I've seen this so called doctor. That short segment suggests to me he's a toxic, self serving individual who presents a real danger to vulnerable people. His performance is on a par with the UK's Jeremy Kyle.

In my view the world would be a better place if both those appalling people lost their liberty 😡

I'll admit a lot of the stuff I find online that is the humiliation of someone else is toxic. But self-humiliation is more honest in a way but it leads to many questions as to why they would do this in the first place other than to make money off ad revenue and get views. Odds are it won't solve the problem.
