Hurricane Florence

UK is safe, But then it's always the same location and not always good

I'm in South Carolina. Just got back yesterday from Myrtle Beach, SC. I'm in the path too.

I hope y’all all try and stay safe! I don’t think I’m in the path.

Yep. Going to be passing right through us today. Every single school, church, store, etc. are closed tomorrow.

I’m working out of town in Farragut, TN next week, and me and my coworkers all had to scramble to find hotels in the area that have vacancies. Apparently a lot of the Carolina evacuees are staying in hotels around the Knoxville, TN area. I had to call a few different hotels before I found one that wasn’t full.

It should be coming to Northeast Tennessee by Sunday. However, it will probably just be strong winds (not as strong as a hurricane) and a lot of rain (maybe flooding) by then. Anyway, I did say, "just a lot of rain (maybe flooding)", so it could be dangerous and also the winds could knock out of power - but, I don't think much will happen.

Will come in on Monday (in Northeast Tennessee, my home) pretty strong - but not as much as in North Carolina cause the Blue Ridge Mountains block so much of it.

Anyway, already light rain here.

Major power outages near me. I85 blocked both ways. Major trees and extensive lines down.
