Anyone here from Hawaii? What are you doing to prepare for the hurricane?

So far I've gotten water, filled the coolers, filled the tubs, food, charged power banks, got batteries, etc. No way am I going to wait in line for hours to fill my tank though. Where we going on a full tank of gas anyway? lol

I don't live there, but I am praying it doesn't do too much damage to the islands.

The reason they are filling their tanks up is because gas is going to be hard to come by for a while after the storm so they want to go as long as possible without the need for a refueling and they may also might be filling up gas cans for a generator which eats up a lot of gas to operate.

Yeah, whenever we have snow storms, or weakened hurricanes coming through here in New York, I always end up filling up my gas tanks because the days following the storm are very rough. When we had a really bad snow storm a couple of years ago, the gas stations were actually closed for a couple of days, so it was great to plan ahead.

It's not a lack of gas, it's for generators. So far the damage isn't as bad as we thought but it's still really bad in some areas.

I don’t live their either and I don’t know much about the hurricane but I saw it on the news at work yesterday when I was walking by the TV. I’m hoping it doesn’t cause a lot of damage to everything there and everyone will be okay!!

I don't live there but I have been following it a lot closely just recently and I am praying it doesn't hit too hard. Thoughts are going out to everyone in the path of this Hurricane!

It was downgraded to a tropical storm. It caused a lot of damage in some parts, especially on the Big Island, but not so much on my island. A few fires started and half a town burned down so people lost everything, but not from the hurricane.

Never lived in Hawaii, but in the Northern Marianas (near Guam). Anyway, storms would be the only real danger in those places.

Storms don't really phase us here. Honestly, neither do hurricanes. lol This one was pretty gnarly though.

Yes I hard about it, Well it's allover the news. It's not an good day for those people. Wish they will recover from the lost
