Pretty sure many of you have heard of this already.

How bad do you think this will get?

I'm in the middle of it right now. There's a lot of rain and the wind is starting to get bad. Lights were flickering and the internet went out briefly. There are a lot of shelters being set up around the area and we think the Delaware River may flood...again...

I'm safe here in Tennessee. It's a beautiful day even. I wish people who are in the path of this storm the best.

I know someone else (on a forum) who is also in the path of Sandy, and it sounds bad. Thankfully I'm safe here though.

The rain and wind has been getting a tad bit worse as time goes on, but still not to bad yet.

My neighborhood is having mini brownouts, Subway system under the East River is flooded, parts of Battery Park are under water, several trees are down near me and neighborhoods north and Northwest of mine are without power and so far we're ok but I am worried about the additional 10 ft rise in tide from the full moon as well.

My forum is offline because the hosts servers are located in New Jersey.

Winds Have been gusting here, Watching trees go sideways a couple of times. Supposed to get worse overnight. It's all good though. let out of work 1/2 day and off tomorrow with pay.

Yeah, but this isn't going to be a happy paid day off. The storm may get worse and continue to get worse.

NYSE is closed for 2 days, and my husband and his IT crew were told to stay home unless deemed critical. My husband doesnt work for private clients so he doesnt have to go in but he was able to remotely connect from home to his work pc in case any support tickets came in.

Thankfully, they didn't.

I hope he gets those days as paid days off.. but it is already a short work week for him since he goes on vacation this Friday..

Just went out for a walk and the gusts are pretty good. Some stopped me in tracks.I'm 6'1 and 240 pounds.
