I'm a newbie on FP. I'm so much of a newbie that I feel awkward using the site acronym as if I'm already "in", so to speak. I already gave my obligatory introductory post, but I might as well initiate a slightly more personal introduction. As all the cool kids say, ask me anything.

I found it through a simple Google search for a website-sharing forum.

Definitely the endothermic nature of the opah. It just changes so much of what we knew about animals.

How did you come up with your username?

It's a Frank Zappa reference. One of his drummers in the early 70s was Chester Thompson, who is perhaps more well known for his work as the live drummer for Genesis. During a performance with Zappa, a groupie in a gorilla suit snuck up on Chester. Ever since then, Chester's Gorilla has been a meme between both the fandom and Zappa and his band. Phil Collins even named a Genesis song "Wot Gorilla" and Zappa albums credit Chester as "drummer and gorilla victim".

I love gorillas and Zappa, so it fit.

What is your favourite song? 🙂

There's just so many. To name a few and limiting myself to one per artist, The Thing that Should Not Be by Metallica, The Prophet's Song by Queen, Peaches en Regalia by Frank Zappa, Ghosts of War by Slayer, Dance on a Volcano by Genesis, One More Fucking Time by Motörhead, and 21st Century Schizoid Man by King Crimson. There's WAY more.

My favorite is Halloween. It gives me an excuse to spend a whole day watching horror movies.

Sarcastic, probably. Also, I'm a devoted writer, and my friends have informed me that I basically bring the writing mentality to regular conversation. I guess it's a subconscious thing, but come to think of it, I guess I do have a tendency to try using everything as material for some (slightly mediocre and ultimately not worth the effort)wit.
